Kangra station is the closest station to Dharamsala (17 km), The Kangra bus stand is located north of the Bazaar, along the Dharamsala Road, there is a regular bus service from Kangra to Dharamsala (45 minutes)

The 02:15 departure from Pathankot and the 12:25 departure from Jogindar Nagar have First Class (PATH - KAN = Rs 225,) all the other trains have only 2nd class (PATH - KAN = Rs 26).

Pathankot to Kangra is 94 km, Kangra to Jogindar Nagar is 70 km.
